Gazza joins the club ahead of the new campaign as the First Team continue preparations for life in Cheshire League One following last season’s title-winning promotion.

His appointment adds further depth to the backroom team led by Joint First Team Managers Ben Crowe and Anthony Plant, with Gazza set to support both training and matchday operations.

As part of his role, Gazza will provide dedicated support for the club’s goalkeepers while also contributing to the First Team’s performance analysis work, an area the management team see as important in helping the squad prepare, review and continue improving throughout the season.

Speaking on the appointment, Joint First Team Manager Ben Crowe said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Gazza to the Newton First Team coaching staff.

Gaz joins us as our Goalkeeper Coach, bringing dedicated goalkeeper coaching to our training sessions while also supporting the management team on matchdays. Alongside his coaching role, he will play a key part in performance analysis, helping us prepare, review performances, and continue driving standards forward.

As we continue to build for the season ahead, Gaz is a fantastic addition to the club, and we’re looking forward to having him as part of the team.”
