Newton-le-Willows FC’s place in the Cheshire Football League Presidents Cup semi-final has now been confirmed, with Poynton FC Reserves set to make the trip to Newton-le-Willows Sports Club.

The tie will take place on Saturday 22 August, with a 2:00pm kick-off, as Newton look to book their place in the final.

It will be Poynton’s second visit to Newton-le-Willows Sports Club in just three weeks, having already faced Newton Reserves during the group stage of the competition.

Poynton progressed as the competition’s best runner-up after finishing second in Group C on goal difference, while Newton head into the semi-final following a perfect group-stage campaign.
